We only use the finest Swarovski crystals in our jewellery. Swarovski crystal was invented by Daniel Swarovski in 1895 in Bohemia. Swarovski crystals are made from high quality crystal lead glass, cut and ground with such meticulousness that they sparkle as intensely as diamonds.
Swarovski only uses high lead content crystal glass, usually 32% of the glass is lead and lead oxide.
The attendance of the lead higher the index of refraction, bringing it closer to that of the diamond. The sparkle comes from light bouncing off interior surfaces in the lead crystal. This is why lead glass beads have an eye-catching sparkle and heavier weight than less expensive forms of glass.
