Dipping enamel had been done by the Greek's in jewellery since the third century BC and was still practised in the Roman times. This involved dipping a heated metal core into molten glass then shaping it, and was mostly used for pendant earrings. Enamelling in general was very accepted in the western provinces.
Enamel today is added to jewellery to give colour and texture. Enamel can be laid into any type of metal work, for example; silver jewellery, gold jewellery etc...
Enamel can be made into any specified colour and shape. A lot of our D for Diamonds range features pieces of enamel laid into gold and silver to create truly beautiful pieces of jewellery that look and feel great! Enamel is very durable and enhances any piece of jewellery it is in.
